Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Taxo.ie calculators, reports, and tax return filing.

Calculators

Yes. All 11 tax calculators are completely free with no sign-up, no email, and no hidden catches. They use the same hardcoded 2026 Revenue rates as our paid reports. The calculators exist to give you quick answers. If you need a deeper analysis with personalised reliefs, deadlines, and form guidance, that is where the paid reports come in.

All calculators use the 2026 tax year rates and thresholds, including the PRSI rate increase from 1 October 2026. We update all rates within 24 hours of the annual Budget speech.

All calculations use hardcoded tax rates, bands, and thresholds verified against Revenue.ie. The calculations are deterministic - the same inputs always produce the same outputs. However, they are simplified versions that may not cover every individual circumstance. For complex situations, use a paid report or consult a tax advisor.

No. All calculator operations happen in your browser using JavaScript. No data is sent to any server. Your figures never leave your device.

Paid Reports

Reports are typically delivered within minutes of submitting your questionnaire. You will receive a branded PDF by email. Tax return filings (EUR 199 / EUR 299) may take slightly longer as they involve a full Form 11 computation, but you should have your report within the hour.

Every paid report includes your specific tax calculations using hardcoded Revenue rates, a personalised analysis of your reliefs and credits, guidance on which Revenue forms to file and which boxes to complete, your key filing deadlines, and a tailored action checklist. Reports also include the tax tables version used and a disclaimer.

Taxo.ie reports are for informational and planning purposes. They are not a substitute for professional tax advice. For complex situations involving multiple income sources, foreign income, or Revenue queries, we recommend consulting a qualified tax advisor or accountant.
